Hello everybody,

I need someone to make this site code compliant to w3c standards.

It's a single page site with a free flash game.

I can usually do this stuff myself, but since there is flash involved and since I didn't build the page myself, I just don't seem to have the feel for it.

I will pay whatever is fair, or whatever the going rate is for a job like this. I am paypal verified.

Can someone please take a look, and do this job for me?

Okay, I am almost done... BTW, erlier when this post said $5, Ill do it free :D I have it cut down to only 2 errors in HTML rite now... All I have left to do is convert it to XHTML instead of HTML...

l3vi: You're going to have to replace all those 's with CSS to get it to XHTML, so maybe you should accept the proposed payment ;)

Also, setting up a paypal account is a great idea if you plan on doing many of these 'odd jobs'. I've used them for this sort of thing before, and it was much easier than sending a cheque from NYC to Australia!

Deep in space you have drifted off course, and find yourself in a
strange uncharted territory. Suddenly you see what looks like an asteroid
field quickly approaching your ship. As the giant space rocks approach,
you notice they have an unusual shape. You begin to look at the strange
objects even closer, wondering what danger they might bring. 
 

These are not regular asteroids. They have a soft appearance, and
a strikingly round and robust shape. There appears to be dimples and
thin black hair-type strands growing from the center of the enormous....
rocks?? 
 
Wait a minute.... these are not asteroids at all.... these are....
*TEROIDS 
 
Your only hope now is to destroy as many of these giant *** rocks
as possible, before they make it to earth and disgust all of mankind.
Wave after wave of the giant asses surround your ship. The sounds
of the farts drown out the voice screaming inside your head. The smell
of the potent fumes makes your stomach quiver and your knees weak. 
 

Armed only with your trusty laser and a few smart bombs, you begin
the assault....

Game Play 
 
:: Movement :: 

Use the arrow keys to turn left / right, and to fire your thrusters
to accelerate. 
 
:: Weapons :: 
1) Use the space bar to fire your laser. It is only
a single fire, but has unlimited ammo. 
 

2) Use the "Ctrl" key for your smart bomb.
Begin with 3. Earn more by completing levels. 
 
NOTE: Shoot the space ship that randomly appears
for extra bonus points!! 
 

:: Game Performance :: 
If the game is slow on your computer, right-click on the game screen
and adjust the quality setting to medium or low. The default quality
setting is high. 
 
:: Sound :: 

The sound is on by default. Crank it up loud to enjoy all the fart-n-fun.
 
 
:: High Scores :: 
Enter your name for all the world to see that you are king of the
assteroids!!

Wouldn't feel right accepting payment after jumpin in in front of l3vi.
If you want it as XHTML just let me know. That would be a fair bit more work as I'd have to copy the site locally and replace all tags and align="" attributes. ( I think l3vi was most of the way through that conversion anyhoo).
I'd also replace all tags with proper heading elements <h1-6>.

**ATTN: in the code above, the class .a s s has been replaced by .* due to the forum's anti-swearing filter. Make sure to change that back :D

Hmmm... interesting...
Works for me on IE6 and Mozilla.... :confused:
Though it doesn't look quite right anymore.
I'll attach my file, just change the extension from .txt to .html and give this one a try ;)
I think the swearing filter has played more havoc that I originally thought!
*edit: If you're using dial-up and IE, the game wont start until the whole thing has loaded...I'm fixing that now and will alter the attachment when done :cool:

***2nd Edit* All fixed :D Tested in IE5, 5.5, 6 and Mozilla 1.6.
