Assistance needed in language pack development!

ATTN:: Language Translators.

I'am currently looking for interested parties willing to help with the language translations of a new piece of bulletin board software about to enter the release canidate stage of it's life and enter the world.

The bulletin board in it's current state is very advanced... packed with usefull features for the communities of todays internet. Currently i'am looking for people with skills in languages other than English and Hebrew to help translate language packs for this new project. Those interested in helping out will gain full credit within the language distribution itself and within the copyright credits of the project... not to mention the thanks of the development team within the site content itself.

There also will be other forms of gratitude given after the project is complete and ready for distribution. Unfortunatly, there isnt a way for cash payment for anyones services as this project is GNU and will be offered completely free. The bulletin board was written from the ground level to its current state by one man within an eight month period... least we can do is give him a hand in this department. LOL

Interested parties please drop an e-mail to...

Again, I am always fearful of posters who asks for services without monetary commitments to their developers -- I've seen many people taken advantage of, or their hard work destroyed/lost. This was more prevelant in the dotcom bust, I acknowledge, but still common.

Aside from that, will you prove the legitamacy of this job by listing some more info? If people are going to email you their:

I would like to see your answers as well (you've already posted your email); including information about the company you are doing this work for (name, website) and country -- or if there is not a company, what is the work being listed under? I have many friends who speak multiple languages (hindi, arabic (three forms), spanish, mandarin, Japanese)

I hope you understand the scrutiny, thanks:)

I know where your going, and i can assure you that this is ligament, and that no one is being taken advantage of, This is not my company, nor my forum, I am simply helping out the developer in his venture to create a good forum software. We cannot, unfortunately release a name at this time, as the forum is still being developed and we do not want to endanger the wellbeing of the name.

Each person that is interested in this project, will be given a template to translate, and their language pack is copyright to them, Their information, their name, their website, all of that will be in the Lang files they create. All we're asking is for people with a semi-advanced knowledge of a foreign language that is interested show their skills to the people who will potentially use this forum software.

We have no interest in taking credit for other work. All we're interested in is making our software available to other who do not speak English. As or the information you seek our name and website, To tell you the truth, We dont want to release the name until the forum software is completely and thoroughly complete. I dont know if that will make since to you or not, but I hope it does. We do not want to jeopardize our name. I can however tell you the software is almost complete, the developer is rebuilding the language system, we simply wanted to get people who are interested now, than have to wait a few more weeks or months to find people and then find out no one is interested. We want to build these foreign languages into the first release, because we want to make this software available to multilingual communities as soon as possible.

I can however tell you that the forum is nearly complete, and the language system is almost complete and in place. The template will basically be the full language system and will be a building block for the developer who translates the files for us. Other than this, I have no more information for you. I will give the developer the link to this topic and let him decide what more information to give you, I'm sorry if i haven't answered all of your questions, but the simple answer is, I cannot give you much information. I can however tell you that this forum is being made and developed by two people. One person (the lead developer) is working in the Western part of the United States. The second person, who is working on another project, lives and works out of the United Kingdom. He is working on an undisclosed project that unless the developer decides to, Will not be named. these two applications can work side by side. I my self am in the United States as well, however I do not help develop the forum software.

That's all I was looking for -- I appreciate it Ed.H:) Thanks for understanding, it's difficult on these forums sometimes piecing through the quality work.

An excellent area to post as well that would be of use is:
http://www.craigslist.org

You may post in multiple cities -- this is often used in the Bay Area as a complete information finder -- I've done countless contract work through it, found my current job and apartment through it. Many people frequent this site and, it's picking up in other areas. Since it's not a 'paid' job, you can put it under volunteer work or community, post in multiple cities for free.

This site will find you more of a wide range of multi-lingual users that may be of interest. Here there are many, but mostly roman languages. I'll give a heads up to my friends and ask if they know of any others for you as well.

Thank you very much for this site, Im hoping it will broaden our search for people to help us out, Thanks again, Ill give the developer the link to this post to let him post some information about the project.

I'm sorry, but I just had to have a good laugh at that. :D

Hopefully I'm not making a fool of myself by not knowing some alternate definition of ligament.

Sorry about that. I can assure you no surgery is needed...
