How do I seperate my forum sections?

How do i seperate the forum sections like they do here at vbulletin.org. For example, if you go to the forum home page, you will notice that there is a nice big 'gap' between the forum SITE FEEDBACK and then the next forum section, CODE HACKS.
How do you add that space?

Also, how do you get the bar that is right underneath CODE HACKS(the one that has 'forums posts threads last posts). Thanks any help is appreciated!

Use this template mod by xiphoid :D:

Thanks for the link...but i have tried this one after i posted this thread. after i installed it, all of my columns were misaligned and it looked very ugly! I then added the forum header(as described in the thread for this hack) to each section, and the problem still existed. Did you have the same problem? how did you rectify it? Any help would be great!

Anyone have any other ideas? just curious :(

I don't have any problems. Put up the correct url as your homepageand i'll take a look to see what might be causing this problem ;)

i got the same problem as Baptizer, so i just gave up with it, all the threads allowing and not allowing support just got too confusing for me

Mist,
the problem occurs when each seperate forum section has a different number of posts. For example, if the first section of the forums has 20,000 posts and the second section only has 100 posts they will be misaligned. Basically, the problem is that there is no set width on that column and it screws the columns up.

Can i have a link to your site to see if you have gotten past this problem?

It would help if you gave me a screenshot to what your site looks like with and without the mod installed...

Currently I do not have it installed, but here is a good example of someone who installed it and is experiencing the problems I had:

specify values for the table widths in your forumhome templates

thank's Mist

Heheh..Hi Mist.
Take a look at that link again and pay particular attention to how the columns align. They are off(it doesnt look bad on his cause he has tons of forums).

After looking at it baptizer the reason this is happening is because the table widths are set differently :)

Its not the fault of the person who made the code but the person who has added their code :)
