- miSt They never work properly and also they have old builds, most of the time into. What are you doing if you want to install PHP as ISAPI module? Or even better, if you want to upgrade?
You will do it manually, so my method will get you familiar with those options.
I know it doesnt work al the time but for me its perfect maybe that im running
windows 2000 proffesional that is based for such things als websites apaches ...
I like to test my board on my lcoal server with the newest versions of php and mysql, and other software, but what I have noticed as Teck stated is these all in one packages do not have the updated, bug fixes/security fixes.
Good tut though!
I must say that the thread title is a bit misleading, as the best way is to install apache, php and mysql by downloading and...*drumroll*...installing them. :)
If you want a good setup of the three, I recommend having a look at TECK's guide (link in post 2 of this thread) that is pretty easy to understand, even for n00bs. :p
Lol ok any mods to close this?? :)
I don't think there's any need to close this unless you specifically want it closed :)
This is a good piece of software and i couldn't get TECK's tut to work on my comp even though we spent 2 hours trying to fathom it :)
This will be useful to many people.
May i also suggest you add www.firepages.com.au to your first post :)
