How to remove field from Vbulletin Options

Hey everyone.

I thought I had to reinstall one of the hacks after I upgraded to the latest vbulletin version, but unfortunately this didn't need to be done and now I have duplicate fields in my main Vbulletin Options.

I checked the hack's (Signature Length) support thread and found that this happened to someone else, and PHPMYADMIN was used to remedy the problem. I'm not learned enough to use this program. Is there any other SIMPLER way to remove the duplicate fields? I have removed the hack as much as I can (removed templates etc) but this still remains:

==============
Maximum signature lines?
Maximum number of line breaks allowed in signatures. Set this to 0 to have no effect.

I'd like to remove all entirely. If you can point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it. Thanks ;) I think leaving it won't cause any problems, but if it's not working, I'd rather get rid of it.

They're hard coded into the 'settings' table within your database.

You can click 'browse' in that table using phpmyadmin, and you can delete the lines you don't want.

Thanks for responding Tim, but I'm not into code that much to know how to use PHPMYADMIN (like I said before :p) I looked at the instructions on how to install and it was way over my head. Is there like a way I can edit a certain file and remove that line of code or something?

N FUL FX if you go to admin/setting.php it'll give you the full listing of all vbulletin options... just find where the code is quadruple listed and delete them... regards... ;)

Ah ha! Thanks that helps me out too. I hate editing in the database. :)

Damnit I feel like a moron. I really can't find the code by checking out the setting.php in NOTEPAD. In fact I don't see anything on that VBULLETIN OPTIONS page on that php file. Shouldn't I be seeing stuff about censored words, clickable smilies, moved thread wording etc... Am I missing something here?

no N FUL FX... you have to view it in your admin cp browser... not in a file editor ;) regards... admin/setting.php is probably the most mysterious file to me on vbulletin :p
