Many clients have noticed what appears to be an increase in bandwidth usage upon upgrading to WestHost 2.0. Although in some cases this can be attributed to increased traffic to their site, it is more likely a result of new changes to our bandwidth tracking.

With the launch of WestHost 2.0, bandwidth is not only being tracked for transfer of files through "HTTP" requests, but also "FTP" and "E-mail". Please be sure to keep an eye on your real-time bandwidth statistics found in the "Overview" section of "Site Details" when you first log in to your Site Manager. At the first of each month, historical bandwidth is also recorded in the "Statistics" section of "Site Details".

The information found in both of these sections will help you determine if your hosting package has sufficient support for the bandwidth you are using and can help you avoid any disruption to your service.
