Question about Wordpress

Okay, I'm new to this whole web development thing, so bare with me. I installed wordpress and logged in and everything was fine. Now I want the blog to be at my main .com page, but when I put that in the "blog address" under options and then try to view the blog, the page says "Forbidden, you don't have access / on this server, Apache/1.3.27 Server at (my website) Port 80" Then when I put the blog address back to .com/wordpress, everything is fine. Can someone please help me?

If I remember correctly, the default westhost install goes under the wordpress directory. If you want it under the root (/), you're probably better off downloading and installing it manually.

You can also put an index.html under the root directory and just put a link to your wordpress directory in it.
