Description of the Hack:
This is a pretty simple hack. It displays a link to the newest member's first post on forumhome next to their name. This adds exactly 0 queries to forumhome, 1 to newthread.php or newreply.php if the newest member is making his/her first post, and one to editpost.php if the newest member's first post is being deleted, so this hack is as optimized as it is ever going to get (which is pretty good).

Download the .txt if you want to install it without the Hack Tracking Log, or download the .htl to install it using the HTL.

May not seem like its worth it but can we get a screenie, i would like to see how it looks layout wise etc etc please :)

Thanks for the hack aswell

Well, I might take a screen of the vB3 version later, but here is the old vB2 screen: just imagine that it is down is the "What's Going On?" box and not at the top of the page.

MGM out

Nice idea - could you add one more hack, so that after the registration the user is sent to make an inruduction thread about himself in a predefined forum as well?

nice hack

one thing I dont know if its supposed to happen, but it is... The first post link disapears. I havent been able to figure out when and why, as I've only seen the whole process so far for one new member. But the member posted 2 posts, the link was there fine to their first. I replied to their first post. Then another person did, and now the link is gone? Is there any explanation for this?

Yeah, this would be great!!! And then also with a link on the "newest member" link on forumhome.
