Adding a picture as a background

How would I go about doing this.

Using StyleVars it says Common > Doc_Background that it "Changes the color and image of the page background" So can you place an image url there?

I tried without success.

do you use url(/image..)
or img(/url)

or what? or maybe the image function isn't functional yet. Anyone know?

its url(images/...)

I had it working with the body_background, haven't tried doc_background..
