browserless window

Does any1 know how to open a HTML document that doesnt have the browser stuff in it? I can open a 'child' window without the toobar etc but I don't want the 'parent' in the background. Can this be done? I've seen a Chrome thing on this site but it doesnt work with xp. :(

Since Windows XP SP1 and especially now SP2, I've yet to see a chromeless window script work. You can try the script at: http://www.chromeless.org/ which I've yet to really test out.

:) Thanks for the link. Will let you know if any work.

Unfortunately I have not yet found a script that works but I have an idea for a 'work around' to this problem.

Brief explanation: A family member recently asked me if I could make a DVD Library to catalogue their collection of over 200 DVDs. I am trying to make it look like an EXE program.

My Idea: By opening a fullscreen 'child' window, I now have a blank screen
(no browser toolbars etc.) onto which I can put my own toolbar and stuff.
I can get rid of the 'parent' window by using onLoad="opener.window.close()" in the BODY tag of the 'child'. However I then get a confirmation box popup.
Is there a way to automatically confirm this action?

I hope this is clear and somebody can help. I would basically like to start with a blank screen. Thanx :)
