I recently bought the FETCH! computer game and installed it. A couple months later, I downloaded and installed Spyware Detector. I just noticed that it classified FETCH! as "Critical, Backdoor.Sdbot."

avast! doesn't catch it. Spybot doesn't catch it. Ad-Aware doesn't catch it. Is FETCH! spyware, or is Spyware Detector rogue antispyware? I have never heard of Thraex Software, but ValuSoft is the company that makes FETCH!. I haven't quite been able to figure this out. I really had a hard time figuring it out, because Wikipedia doesn't have an article on FETCH!. :confused: I guess, while I'm at it, I'll go see if Wikipedia knows anything about Spyware Detector.

In my opinion, if Spybot doesn't catch it, then it isn't spyware. Also, if a respected company such as Valuesoft created the program in question, then it should be fine (as I doubt they would be putting spyware in their software).
I could be wrong though being as this is just my opinion, but hope this helps.
