Last night i tried to boot my computer and my bios said "Inserted correct boot disk and press any button to continue" (yes it said inserted and button) i was thinking WTF! So I booted into slax of my flash drive and my 10gig and 80gig harddrives werent showing up but my 500 was still there. So i booted into pebooter hoping chkdsk could fix it. NOPE! I hooked the disks up to a laptop using a ide->usb converter and found a program that looks through the entire drive for data the scan took all night just with the 10gb and it didnt even work.
At about 6:30 this morning my freind brought over Partition Table Doctor and it scanned both disks for 2 secs and found all partions and MBRs and FIXED them. I was sooooooooo happy!
You guys probably dont care about my story but I just feel so happy i gotta tell everyone i can :)
That program also works on some linux format partitions and has a bootable cd.
EDIT: it supports FAT16/ FAT32/NTFS/EXT2/EXT3/SWAP

No. All the data was there just the filesystem MBR was missing causing them to show up as raw blank disks
