Code / Script to Load XML file within webpage

Hello All,
I have a website where I publish daily and hourly XML "news" files and want to load this data both on my website as well as have the ability to load on other websites as a branded "ticker/news feed".

I need two solutions:

1.) I have the ability to specify the number of news articles within these XML files and want the data published on my site as static data/links within directory pages found on the site. The site would reference the XML file and publish it as actual content, links etc. For example, the XML file would have a listing of five news articles/ blog postings related to the category found in the directory. This data would be located in a table/cell on the right hand side of the page with the outgoing links on the left. All I need to do is update an XML file and thus the content on the site is then updated automatically. Use currently use FrontPage to manage the site....I know...I know...I'm a coding wuss...I'm not a programmer by trade, just know enough to get by... The directory will be managed by LinksManager software.

2.) The ticker to load on other websites will be dynamic and needs to include a "branded" header with a static text link pointing back to our website. The XML file will reside on our site. This solution needs to be very easy to install as the webmasters for the other sites might be like me...limited in programming knowledge.

Please provide quote to help us get this part of the site completed!

Thanks!

you are requesting rather a complete application than a "little script"... ;)

there are several ways to achieve this, depending on the technology your website is developed with. I'm sure that you will find enough open source solutions too if you tried a google search or sourceforge

Evan -

I would be happy to help you with a solution. I would need to know some more specifics of your project. Drop me an email or PM and we'll go from there.
