Looking for a script that....

Hi i want people to be able top place a short cut on there desktop. but when opened in make the address, file and everything else disappear.

I think this site has one but it is when you click a link on the HTML page that it opens the pop up, and makes all that stuff disappear.

Thanks

I am failing to see exactly what you want here.

You want me to click a link on your site, and this will place an icon on my desktop to that page (instead of a bookmark?)

Then you want it so that when I double click this new icon it opens my browser but without the address bar, tool bars and all my other add ons at the top? Is this correct?

If so, you are basically out of luck, that is called (if I remember correctly) a chomeless window. Because of certain attributes assosiated with them, they have been unable to be supported by browsers for many a moon.

If this is not correct, then please explain again and I will see what can be done then :D

yes your right...
ok failing that is there any free exe makers that allow me to embed html website in side.
i downloaded browserbob its ok so i brought it but never got the unlock code. it should of cost me 49.00 but i have brought it twice and both times i never got the unlocking code.

The people that run in don't give you the unlocking code they are ****ed

Well, under Windows with IE it's possible to use a .hta file (HyperText Application). Unfortunately, this won't work on any other operating systems. I don't believe there is a cross-platform solution.
that is called (if I remember correctly) a chomeless window.Chromeless :) It's not quite. Chromeless windows involve removing all decoration from a window, including those added by the window manager (such as the title bar). However, all that's required here is to hide the menus, which is indeed possible by passing parameters to window.open(). However, I've no idea how that would be done from a shortcut (especially since shortcut formats differ across platforms, and the browser that will be used is unknown).

yes I forgot my R. LOL I have a picky keyboard at work. Sometimes it doesnt produce r's and other times it removes my K's or B's.

picky equipment I tell ya!

I am looking for something simular.

How about a script that will remove the menus when the page is loaded? Or reloads/redirects the page without the menus?

Thanks,

Joe
