when everything was plugged i turned on the power and all the fan started to turn on but there were no beep and nothing at all appearing on the screen? The cd works, lights works, so does all the fans but no beeps whatsoever. i redid the cpu fan and cpu and thought i might have put too much thermal compond on and may burned the cpu? But the cpu was turned on for about 20 second when i heard no beep i turned it immediatly off!
Let me know what you all think? need help quick!!!!!!!!!
AMD boards are often of low quality and can have problems, even when brand new, so that could be a problem. Second, AMD chips when not cooled properly will burn out in less than 8 seconds, a 2600+ probably in about 3 seconds. Either a dead board or a dead chip will usually cause no beeps and no video to occur as they are the first two devices tested during posting before the video card.
