Tables/CSS/Netscape

i am trying to absolutly position an image within a table. what i've done so far is to center it with percentages and it works fine in IE. However, Netscape moves the image within its cell as the table changes and moves. How do i absolute position the image in Netscape so it doesn't move with the table?

you should remove the css from your <table> tag.other wise it won't work with netscape.

the image that i am trying to center is within a table cell - taking it out of the cell puts it outside the flow of the table in Netscape - there are not any css specifications on the table, but on the cells. i am not sure what else to do - i've published my frustration at http://www.schumpert.net/question.htm so someone can look at it (the breaks are there to show that the css keeps the positioning in IE but not in Netscape)

You cannot absolutely position anything inside of a table in NS. The only value you can use for that is "relative".

well...i can't relative position the image either - so my recourse is to find a browswer detection javascript and make two different pages for redirection - anyone know of a good script???
