I have found a site that has a unique view of the Code Red Virus.
Counter Attack the web servers with a message.

I guess not. Regardless of your purpose, when you do something like that on the infected machine, you are still doing a non-harmful attack. An attack is an attack, thus not so legal. Not to mention you have never granted permission by the owner of the infected box for entry.
Code red is just a worm, not so big deal nor is it harmful to anyone. I also wouldn't blame Microsoft for their always-insecure products. The administrator or the owner of the infected machine are the ones to be blamed, they must die by tomorrow, if they are still alive.
I am 100% Chinese, even though code red worm seem to be made by Chinese, I wouldn't blame those Chinese for their purpose - political reasons or whatever.

say 10% infected
okay now 10,000
1 pissed off customer
Company XXX will axe 1 vs many even if virus still active.
Why ? Legal / cost / publicity / cheeeeeeep way to go.
Do you really think they like individuals ?
Rather Companys like sheep / herds ....
simple feed / graze / give occasional shots
if the herd gets infected /// cull the herd.
