qmail, getmail, redhat9 scanning for spam and virus

hello--

I running qmail on redhat 9, and getmail.
I'm looking for a virus/spam filter that will tag messages in the subject header.

I've looked at blackhole http://iland.net/~ckennedy/blackhole.shtml
but it looks complex, not very well documented, and I'm not sure that it works with getmail

Do you have any advice on what I should use that works with qmail and getmail, filters well, and is not too hard to set up ?

Wouldn't it be simpler if the same program filtered both for spam and viruses ?

thanks for your help,

SpamAssassin works well, and can mark messages as spam by modifying the subject field.

No, since these are two different problems. Russell Nelson's virus scanning patch (http://qmail.plig.org/qmail-smtpd-viruscan-1.2.patch) for qmail blocks any executable attachments, which blocksq almost all Microsoft viruses.
