MySQL + Redhat 6.0 + php3 + apache

Hi, i have a problem. The server seems functioning well, except MySQL. I have install MySQL rpms for server, share and client. But when I access database through php3, I keep on receive the error:
Fatal Error, unsupported commands of mysql_connect() in xxx.php3

Can anyone help me ?

Assuming your MySQL installation is correct (which you can verify by attempting to connect via the command line), did you uncomment the mysql.dll line from the php3.ini file?

Since the issue is on Red Hat Linux 6, where does a .dll file come into the picture ?

Even I am facing the same problem. This is because the PHP RPM does not install the database support for Mysql.

What is the get-aroung for this problem ? Or do we have to 'make' from a fresh source instead of installing from a RPM.

Ahh, missed the rpm part and the subject line evidently. You'd need to find an RPM that had mysql support compiled in or make.
