does anyone if there is a keystroke command that will duplicate a layer.

Just getting tired of dragging the layer down to the bottom of the layer window evertime i want to duplicate :)

I don't think there is a preset shortcut for that, but you can always record your own action and assign a function key to do it.

Click the actions tab. Click the little icon of a page to name the action and assign it to a function key. Hit record. Duplicate any layer once. Click the stop recording button, and you're done. Then, you can just click F2 or whatever you want to duplicate the current layer.
