Here's another one....
I'm planning on sending an emailer out to a big mail list (4500). This email will advertise a company, and be in HTML format (i.e. looks like a webpage).
Now, there's no technical problems here, but HTML content cannot be read by some email clients. These include some webmail clients, and older or cheaper ones. This means that not everyone on the mail list will recieve, or rather be able to view the mail.
The discussion is, what percentage of people out there are using HTML enabled email clients? Which webmail accounts support it (LineOne doesn't, Yahoo does). Any general comments on the problems or concerns relating to HTML rich email content?
I'll join in the conversation if we get a few posts.

Send the message as MIME multipart/alternative, having both HTML and plain text options. Most any e-mail client can handle that.
I hate HTML email. People tend to think everyone nowadays use Outlook as their email program.
BTW, anyone use Email Connection here?
If you don't use Outlook, which email clients are people using?
