My company wants to update all of its product catalogues and publish them on web, paper & CD-rom formats. I am thinking about using a database (possibly MySQL) and templates using php to accomplish this, as I already have these available. With this solution I don't think there is too much problem with the web stuff but I'm not sure how this will work when trying to create the tradional paper catalogues.
Has any one had any experience with this kind of problem before that they would like to comment on? Is php/MySQL the best way to do it? any suggestions on existing products would be most welcome! If I create a 'dynamic' site - can a snapshot be created for a CD-rom?
