Code Generators

I've got a reasonable bit of experience behind me in hand coding server side web development but have recently been testing out code generators like codecharge, codecharge studio, dreamweaver, etc. I was curious to hear any conclusions that other people might have drawn on programs like this.
To me it seems that they all have their place but no one program seems to be a very miraculous all-in-1 solution. Dreamweaver doesn't seem fantastic for database manipulation (look-ups, etc, though I may be wrong), codecharge I think is good for just plain old administrative capture forms (DB frontend), codecharge studio seems a bit 'bloat' - the code it outputs is not minimal (as is the case with plain codecharge) and thus hard to touch-up and the actual program itself seems to have adopted a VB studio feel to it (which is slightly overkill for a web page??).

What does everybody else reckon?

Personally, I hand-code what I can, or write my own apps to automate common web application elements. I have yet to work w/ an IDE that could churn out code that met my needs 100%. Some like DWMX et al for the time it saves them; I've always found I have to go in and recode so much of whats there, that I'm better off using my own code from the get go. Just my $.02, though.
