Windows2000 into a Win98 network

I have a home network with two Windows98 computers that I wish to add a new laptop running Windows2000 to. The network has no domain.

I have been able to configure the laptop running Windows2000 into the network so that it can see the other computers and access their hard drives as desired. However, the other two Win98 machines can see the laptop running Windows2000, but after clicking on drive C: are NOT able to view any files or directories.

I have checked the permissions on the laptop running Windows2000 and the they are set to shared, so I can't see any reason why the other two computers should not be able to access its hard drive.

What am I missing?

Do you get an errormessage or do you just not see anything?

If you just don't see anything, then I may understand you wrong, but have you shared any catalogues?

 Maybe it's a filesystem issue. Is the win2k in ntfs or fat32?
