Full download of IE 5.5 or 6?

Does anyone know if it's possible to get the "full" download of IE 5.5 or 6, instead of just the 500K setup exe file? I have a client with a slow dialup connection, and I want to just put IE on CD and take it to him. If so, where?

Just download and run that setup.exe, and then you can choose to download all necessary files to a directory which you can put on a cd. So there's no 'one big file' available AFAIK...

In addition, create a self-extracting file and extract to C:\Windows\Windows Update Setup Files, then launch ie6setup.exe. If you don't extract to that location, the installer will attempt to download every piece of component from scratch.

Thanks, guys.

Hi, tried to do it your way, but i already have IE6 installed so Windows informs that it can not update. But I also need IE5.5. for my work. Any suggestions?

Thnx

if you need both, there is afaik no way around
- installing a w2k for dual-boot
- using "vmware" or a similar "pc-emulator"

If you believe the there is only one way fo download a file on the Internet, you're crazy!
