I have an old Sony StorStation (really a Iomega Ditto drive with a different label) lying arround unused that I want to use on a RHL 7.1 fileserver I setup awhile back.

The problem is I have no experience with Linux tape drives. From what I've been able to tell, AMANDA looks like the most common tool for the application.

If anyone has any experience in the subject, I would appreciate it if you could help point me in the right direction.
