redhat-startup w/0 GUI?

i've got redhat 7.1 setup to go directly to
a GUI interface for login when the system
turns on. But now I need to install some
video drivers, how can i, for 1 instance
got to a completely non-X Windows terminal?

thanks

got it!

when you get to the GUI login, i just had to hit alt+F1

~out.

Yep, this works from [F1] up to [F8], on my Mandrake box at least.

You could also run Xconfigurator to change the setup file that decides whether or not you boot to X.

Do it like a man! Change the default run level, either automatically w/ LILO or manually... w/ LILO!

Otherwise you could also modify the startup files. I leave you the pleasure of discovering the treasure!
