Category: Hire A Programmer
If you know Perl or CGI, your skills are needed!

Hello All,

If you know Perl or CGI and are looking for work, I may have the perfect situation for you.

There is a guy, Mark Joyner, who is selling all of his source code (most of which is written in Perl and CGI) and people are buying this package left and right. Only the people who are buying it are marketers, a lot of which don't know squat about programming (myself included).

See these marketers have ideas on what they want to with the source code, and but can't modify to their specifications. That is where you the programmer comes in.

The beauty is you don't have to build anything from scratch, all you have to do is "rebrand" the code to the marketer's website. And most of these marketers are just looking to make the code fit their sites.

But like always there is a catch. To get to this large group of people looking for programmers you need to buy Mark Joyner's package. That will give you the ability to get into the User Group Forums and then from there all you have to do is post once that you are a programmer, and I promise you will have many offers coming your way.

The package is not cheap (you can read more about it here (https://www.websitelifeline.com/cdorder/salescopy.php?b=ID)) in fact it costs $997. And I know this is a turn off for some of you. But if you buy it before Monday, Mark is doing a payment plan, where you pay $197 for 5 months. On Monday the price goes up to $1497. And I am not sure if there is going to be a payment plan when the price increases.

But if you are looking for work, don't mind spending a couple hundred upfront to get a group of people starving for programmers, I am pretty confident you could easily make back your $200 in a few days after purchasing the package.

Something to consider.

Thanks,

Jason

Why does the programmer need to buy the source? Why can't the marketer who is hiring just let the programmer use the package he already purchased? There's no reason for both parties to have the code purchased separately, is there?

lmfao. sounds completely like a scam. ooo buy this $1000 script to get access to forums.

no offense, but this is pretty ridiculous, if it's a honest to goodness intentioned thread then i apologize, but nobody is going to go through with this.

Isn't this the same Mark Joyner who calls himself an "Internet Marketing Genius" these days. This dude used to run the Aesop search engine a while back. Simply google for "aesop spam" or search the newsgroups for his name
http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=mark+joyner&spell=1
and form your own opinions.

Karsh,

You are correct, the programmer does not have to buy the source code, but at the same time the only way to get to the marketers who want something done with the code is in the private community setup specifically for package buyers.

So really it would be hard to find these people without being a package owner. Plus if you are a programmer I would think you would want to source code for programs that have created millions and millions of hits of traffic. But maybe I am wrong.

----

Sotonin,

Thanks for posting the generic "scam" post. It's good to get that out of the way early. Over 1,500 people have bought this package, and I would say a majority of them have little to no programming skills.

So why did they buy it? Because we aren't talking about one script as you alluded to, but over 25 fully functional websites or desktop applications. Read the site, it's all there. And these are scripts that have created millions and millions of dollars of sales, not a small time feat, but a major accomplishment.

----

I dare say any programmer who buys this package could modify and rebrand a few of these scripts, and create a nice living off of them. Of course this isn't for everybody, maybe even nobody here, but...

I see so many programmers who need work, especially in these times, and this could be a great way to find a client to work with and create a steady income for yourself.

Jason

P.S. Scorpion...Yes this is the same Mark Joyner. Although any labelling him as a spammer is just crazy.

Hehe, I'm not saying he's a spammer myself, that's why I asked people to form their own opinions.

Oh, BTW here's some more links discussing this stuff:

opulyst you work for Mr. Joyner, don't you?

I don't work for him, but I do own the package.

Seems like ol' Jason is sending clicks over to Mark Joyner's site, credited to his account. Is this an affiliate thingy you have going, just curious, that's all?

Reminds me of those retarded get rich quick infomercials they run all the time. Go on for hours talking about how great their system is and how it can increase sales and it's the best thing since sliced bread. Yet they elude to mention one detail about what the hell is involved. Kind of like a phone psychic, keeping the conversation broad and avoiding the specifics.

Beware this offer, don't give this guy any more 'clicks'. just look at his posts, 6 that should tell you something right off the bat.

Of course I am an affiliate, I own the package.

So, if I were to click on the link that you supplied on the first post in this thread and actually purchase this thing, do you get a commission for it?

I think if all these marketing people are buying the package w/o knowing anything about programming, they will (or at least should) be going out looking for programmers, not expecting the programmers to pay $1000 to come to them.

exactly. so either it's a scam or just a bunch of stupid people buying a package they can't do anything with.

Yes, I do get a commission.

Karsh, I bet some are out looking for programmers. For example I am looking for a programmer.

This package has been out for over three months, over 1500 people have bought it so far, and there has not been one person come here to post for needing help, and devshed is one of the foremost forums where programmers come to. That says alot right there.

I'm not sure what it says, but whatever it is, it says a lot of it.

Hmmm, sounds like a LOAD OF CRAP to me!

damon,

can i make it generic, i will take off my affiliation, and so there will be no affiliation, that way any programmers who might still want to take advantage of it can?

Jason

That's fine if you want to just post a link to the site even though I think the whole thing is horse crap. You have to pay $1000 to get access to a forum with other people that own this software? Can you say SCAM....

Damon...Thank you for allowing this.

Just to clarify you don't pay $997 for access to a forum, you pay for the full rights to source code, of which has generated millions of dollars in sales on the internet.

The forum is a bonus to allow the package owners to network and share ideas on how to use the source code.
