Database date

I use Firebird1.0 and Dialect1 and I'm using the following SQL statement to get system´s date:

select current_timestamp from rdb$database

It does work in some machines, but it doesn't in others. The instalation procedure was the same in all machines but I receive the error "column unknown (current_timestamp)" in some of them.

Can you help me?
Thank you!

Carolina

I always use Dialect 3 so I've never encountered your problem. Take a look at this document on Borland's website and search for the phrase "column unknown". This section discusses the use of Date and Time datatypes in Dialect 1.

I don't know if this will help you solve your problem, but hopefully it might give you a clue to its source.
