Am I running openldap (windows version) correctly?

Hello, I'm a newb at ldap, but I do understand some concepts of databases since I've messed with mysql. I'm trying to figure out how to run and configure ldap, as well as add entries of users/passwords. I tried running openldap from http://www.fivesight.com/downloads/openldap.asp. I get the following message from command prompt:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

C:\openldap>slapd.exe -d 1

slapd starting

It just stays stuck at "slapd starting." Am I doing this properly? Where should I go from here? Also, i notice in the debugging of it that I'm missing some dll's but I can't seem to find them. I downloaded all the files that fivesight asked me to.

Hi,
I have the problem today. Have you been able to solve the problem ?

I remember those errors, (and I don't remember how I solved them :( ) BUT I would suggest to download a more recent version from Lucas Bergman's site (http://lucas.bergmans.us/hacks/openldap/) where you can also find a tutorial.
I've OpenLDAP running fine on W2K and Outlook/Apache.
