Question on something

How do you know how many fans fit on your computer? Where can you see on your pc that their is room for more fans?

if you have a proprietary computer, such as a HP, Dell or Compaq your choices are probably going to very slim for adding new fans, but if you have a after market case they usually have atleast 1 front and 1 rear, i am attatching a picture to show you a rear and a side case fan opening.

I built my own computer.

theres two types of fans you can buy, one uses the fan plugs on your mobo (3 prongs, says something along the lines of SFAN next to it), the other uses the larger 4 prong plugs coming out of your power supply.

as for where to put them, there's usually a place to mount it on the back of your case, usually just below your power supply fan. sometimes in the front of the case there's also a spot to mount a fan. these usually are just small holes arranged in a circle with four screw holes around them.

other then that you can buy a mod kit to install a fan elsewhere on your case (or just do it without a kit)

on my case i installed a window and mounted a fan in the middle.

all it takes to mod your case is a drill and a dremel, but im not gonna give a full tut on it

good lluck ;)
