How much stress is placed on the north bridge when overclocking the fsb? I have a Gigabyte 8ipe100pro2 and the north bridge came with a little fan which i have removed as it was making a great noise and i haven't got around to getting a new one. I'm now wrried that it might get too hot while overclocking my P4 2.8 to 3.1.

You want some cooling on the northbridge. If you aren't overclocking, a heatsink will probably suffice, but since you do plan to, you really need a fan, or you'll be unstable.
