Hi people,

A critque of my football teams website would be well appreciated.

Layout / usability etc, well everything really.

Of course, you are missing the best bits, the members forum and the user administration sections..

Thanks in advance

Jamie

PS: If you are online at about 18:00 Eastern European time, Wednesday 3rd Sep, 2003, you can get live updates of our match tonight :)

Nice!

Dig those menus, did the boxed rollovers with CSS?

The little box on the right that links to the validator seems to have no text for me right now in IE6 Win XP Pro. The links and rollovers work, just not labelled!

The top center box has a black title, I think it looks out of place and should be yellow.

Where did all those hits come from? Are you cheating it or are you sneakily increasing it on each page view or something or just do you have a helluva lot of traffic already?

At first I though - Oh No! Javascript Status Bar Text, but as it disappears when you go over a link, it isnt that bad :p

Why do some players look like your kid as well?

Thanks PC, can I call you that?

I thought black was easier to read? Do you mean like the page title bit?

I checked the images, it is weird, I have tested in IE 5 / 5.5 /6 and alt text is there, if you mean title="whatever", that is easily changed. I know alt text doesn't show in Firebird / Netscape 6+..

Menus, yes all CSS. You should try viewing in Netscape 4.75.

Of course, you can't see the skins for the site, some of them are pretty sexy :)

Javascript, there isn't much -> I hate it.

Hits, it counts every hit, all based of index.php, so the actual number of visitors isn't that great. Over 50,000 in the forum :)

The players look like my kid (http://frankie.227net.com) because they are too lazy to provide a picture themselves :D

Anyway, thanks again.

More please people...

Jamie

clearing up, here is an image...

Browsers - IE6 Moz 1.4b

looks good - yellow's not my fave but I can see why you have to use it ;-)

The only thing i can spot that I would class as wrong with it is that your text doesn't scale according to user settings. I know thats purely an accesibilty issue but I do a lot of work on websites for the sight impaired so its the first thing I check when looking at a site.

Other than that - its fast, clean and complaint - good job
