Yes, it certainly is a step up from v7, and when you look at the Photoshop Object Model and the scripting abilities, going CS is a no-brainer. I just stumbled on the scripting subject a little while ago, and within a few minutes, I created a text layer in a new image and saved it via VBA code I wrote within Excel. This is really an improvement over the non-conditional action language inside Photoshop. Now I'll be able to process all the images in a folder, turning them into thumbs, various compression and size, framed and drop shadowed... with a click of a dialog box button. YIPPEE! :D
