Gainward Pro 660 GF FX 5200 128MB DDR, Should I buy it?

Hello,

Well, I found this ....

Gainward Pro 660 GF FX 5200 128MB DDR

for $69.00 USD....

Right now I am running a 1 GIG AMD... GF2MX... 384RAM...

I wanted to bump up my VID card for gaming / photoshop purposes. But, I was not sure if with the processor I have it will be worth it. (Wanna try and take advantage of some of the new graphical features in all the newer games...)

Also, anyone every used one? I am not sure what the deal is with these generic brand Gforce cards.. are they reliable? etc..

Thanks for any and all help/advice.

Brandon

The FX 5200 is a budget card so don't expect it to perform as well as a high end card like the FX 5900 or the Radeon 9800. But for $70 it's not a bad deal and it should be a significant improvement over a Geforce 2. Also the FX5200 supports DirectX 9. And Gainward is a good manufacturer.

Thanks alot for the RESPONSE. Glad to hear gainward is a good manu. Do you think even though I have a 1 GIG processor, the performance increase will be worth the 70 bucks?
thanks again..
