Product info/picture copyrighted - Urgent

Hi Everyone,

We have an urgent problem. We are a seller of Japanese product exported directly from Japan to US, and other countries. We mainly deal with audio products. Recently we were contacted by Accuphase's US distributor Axiss who had sent us 2 warning mails stating that we are

1. making unauthorized linkage to accuphase Japan's website
2. implying that the products we sell (which are Japanese domestic units) are covered by US warranty.

The fact is that we clearly state in our webpages that the products are covered by Japanese warranty, not US warranty. However, we are unsure about the linkage. We used to have hyperlinks to Accuphase's Japan website, but we have recently taken them down. However, would the description text and even accuphase's product images count as "linkage" to their website? The warning letter specifically asked for removing the links and not implying that we sell products covered by US warranty. Are we ok if we were to continue selling these products, although we never advertised or implied that they are covered by US warranty nor do we have hyperlinks to their website.

Your help on this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

However, would the description text and even accuphase's product images count as "linkage" to their website?
No, that counts as copying content from their website.

The warning letter specifically asked for removing the links
If you've done that, then you've satisfied their request. If your web pages contain a clear statement with regards to the warranty, then you've satisfied that request as well.
